PARENT COACHING
PARENTING CAN FEEL HARD. YOU DON’T HAVE TO NAVIGATE IT ALONE.
There are moments in parenting when the strategies you’ve always relied on stop working. Your child may be struggling with big emotions, anxiety, challenging behavior, transitions, or disconnection. Or you may find yourself reacting in ways you don’t want to, questioning your decisions, or simply wondering how to best support the child in front of you.
Parent coaching gives you a place to slow things down, understand what may be happening beneath the surface, and find a way forward that feels right for your child, your family, and the relationship you want to build.
My goal isn’t to give you a formula for perfect parenting. It’s to help you understand your child more deeply, understand yourself more compassionately, and develop the confidence and tools to navigate the hard moments with greater connection and intention.
Look Beneath the Behavior
When a child is struggling, our attention naturally goes to what we can see: the tantrum, the defiance, the anxiety, the withdrawal, the tears.
But behavior is only part of the story.
Together, we’ll look beneath the behavior to explore what your child may be feeling, the responses they are experiencing, the meaning they may be making, and what they need from you to feel safe staying emotionally open and connected.
We’ll also pay attention to what is happening within you.
Parenting can activate our own fears, expectations, triggers, and patterns. Through coaching and mental fitness practices, I’ll help you recognize what pulls you into reactivity and develop the capacity to pause, regulate, and respond more intentionally.
This is where meaningful change begins: not by trying to become a perfect parent, but by becoming more aware, connected, and intentional in the moments that matter.
How We’ll Work Together
Meaningful change rarely happens in a single conversation.
It takes time to understand patterns, try new approaches, notice what happens, make adjustments, and practice responding differently in the everyday moments of family life.
For that reason, I work with new Parent Coaching clients through three- or six-month engagements rather than individual sessions.
Both options give us the opportunity to understand what’s happening in your family and begin creating meaningful, sustainable change. The difference is the depth of support and integration you’d like along the way.
• Big emotions and challenging behavior
• Anxiety and worry
• Boundaries and limit-setting
• Communication and connection
• Parent reactivity and triggers
• Family transitions
• Confidence and resilience
• Sibling and family dynamics
• School and social challenges
• Repair after difficult moments
Every child and every family is different.
Our work is personalized around what is happening in your family rather than a one-size-fits-all parenting approach.
Parent Coaching Can Help With:
Grounded in The Vulnerability Factor™
My Parent Coaching work is informed by The Vulnerability Factor™, my framework for understanding how children’s feelings, the responses they experience, and the meaning they make from those experiences can influence whether they remain emotionally open or move toward protection.
Rather than focusing only on changing behavior, we look beneath it.
The goal isn’t to prevent children from experiencing difficult emotions. It’s to help create the emotional safety and connection that allow them to experience those feelings without believing they need to hide, suppress, withdraw, please, or shut down in order to stay connected.
